        Mobile Construction Battalion Eleven; Alpha Company, 6th Platoon
            MCB 11, Port Hueneme, CA July 1965 - January 1966, Military Training (CN)
            MCB11, Da Nang, Vietnam, January 1966 - November 1966, Light Shop (CMH-3)
            MCB11, Port Hueneme, CA, November 1966 - April 1967, Military Training. (CMH-2)
            MCB11, Dong Ha, Vietnam, April 1967 - October 1967, Light Shop (CMH-2) 

    I was in Da Nang, VietNam during the March 10th and 11th Buddhist Crisis and also during the South Vietnamese Eletions. I worked inthe Alpha Co. Light Shop and also drove a wrecker around the Da Nang area shagging ehicles and hauling them to the shop at Camp Shields on the Touraine Peninsula. I was up to Red Beach, Monkey Mountain, the rock crusher by Camp Tinshaw and along China Beach and down to Marble Mountain doing my runs.

    I was in Dong Ha, Vietnam during the first attack on Khe Sanh, the attack on Hills 881-N and 881-S, Con Thien and Gio Linh. I was in the Alpha Co. shop when the ammunition dump exploded on September 3, 1967. I was in the lube pit with a bunch of other guys during the 8 hour explosion. I worked in the light shop. My service time ended and I left the battalion for the states in mid October 1967.
