I returned to Buffalo, New York
September 1969. I worked, went to grad school, and taught at State University of
New York at Buffalo, January 1970-January 1974. I lived with the Ojibwa and Cree
Indians of Northern Canada from January 1974 to August 1979. I worked for a Bush
Plan Company and taught PHD Anthropology, 1981. I was an Assistant Professor at
Drake University, Des Moines, IA, 1982-1984. From 1984-1988, Foreign Desk, The
Washington Times, The Washington Post 1989-99. Reporter and Editor at United
Press International 2000 to present. I have a son, Ronald, 28, daughter
Rita, 25, and son Nicholas, 14.
