Jim Peet
    I am an old Seabee joined in April 1942, was in the original 11th when it was formed in July of 1942. We left Port Hueneme August 12, 1942 going to Samoa and New Caledonia, returning stateside October 1943 through the hospital. I was First Class Carpenter. From the hospital I went to Davisville, RI and to Europe in February 1944 with the 1040 Causeway Detachment (Italy and France) and ended up in the 626 CBMU when it was formed in Africa and then back to Davisville, July 1945, and discharged October 1945. I served as Carpenter's Mate First.
