    Upon arrival on Guam, worked in the Carpenter Shop and Naval Magazine Area. Left Guam with the Advance Party and went to Okinawa where I worked on Base maintenance until Battalion arrived. Then worked in the Marine Staging Area. Upon return to the Unite States, was assigned to Military Training Unit and remained there during the next two cruises. Returned to MCB 11 October 1962 and shipped out to Guam where the Battalion started cleanup operations after a devastating typhoon went through the Island.
