I was with MCB 11 from March of 64 when they were in Okinawa, till October 67. I started out as a steelworker and after two months of cleaning heads and showers every day I jumped at the chance to work with supply and thus  ended up as a storekeeper, and wished I had been a builder.  They needed some help in shipping and receiving department I guess I did alright because they asked me to cross rate. I did two deployments to Okinawa and two to Vietnam (Da Nang and Dong Ha). I left MCB11 in October 1967 as a SK3. I have been doing a lot of remodeling over the years. I worked as a boiler operator for 28 years, retired and went back to work for a con-gen starting up a small power plant.  I have done a little bit of everything, building, plumbing, electrical and even worked for GM building cars, what a boring job. I have always been proud that I am a Seabee, they are the best.
