I served
with MCB11 from March 22, 1969 until December 31, 1969. I was an E-3, UT and
served at Camp Evans in Vietnam. We were sharing a camp with the 101 Airborne
unit of the Army, and was in camp when we heard about the explosion that killed
our fellow Seabee. When we were decommissioned, I was sent to Midway Island, and
was the procurement person for the UT shop until I left the Navy on August 10,
1970. I worked at Dana Corporation for 35 years, and retired July 2001. I have five children, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 7 fish, 1 mouse, and whatever else shows up at my door. I have an MBA in Human Resources and Management, and now I act as the Membership Director of the Humane Society. My wife's name is Jan, and we have been married 27 years as of February 21, 2003 |
